INMANTEC DANCE CONTEST

(IDCU20)

“Consciousness expresses itself through creation. This world we live in is the dance of the creator. Dancer come and goes in the twinkling of an eye but the dance lives on.”

Dancing is so much more than just grooving on the dance floor to your favorite tunes. It is a way to show your passion, love and lot more. So come and show your definition of Dance with your talent at INMANTEC Dance Contest.

The contest is divided in two rounds. In Round 1st (prelim ) the contestants need to perform and accordance to that they will either be selected or rejected. In the subsequent phase the selected contestants will be called to the campus on the date of event for another performance for further evaluation for final result. To become eligible for award it is important that a contestant participates in prelim round.

ELIGIBILITY – The contest is open to any student from class 10th onwards till post graduation. Contestant should have a valid student identity card to be eligible for participation.

DATE OF CONTESTPreliminary Round: 16th& 17th April 2020.The registration for the first phase of the contest is open till April 4th, ’19, 10:30AM (Indian time). Registration post this date won’t be valid.

Final round: 18th  April (Only for those who will be selected in Preliminary Round).

PRE-REQUISITES

  • Participants must carry their songs in PD or CD (2 copies) on which they want to perform and should submit on the registration desk.
  • The props should be pre approved with Prof. Swati Tyagi(Event Coordinator) before performance

TIMINGS– Minimum Performance Time- 3 min

Maximum Performance Time – 5 min.

TEAM SIZE- (for group performance)Maximum of 10 participants

PRIZE – The top 3 entries will be recognized by INMANTEC through cash awards.

EVALUATION CRITERIA – The decision of the judges will be final and binding and cannot be challenged. Four basic criteria will be used viz. (1) Rhythm (2) Expressions (3) Posture (4) Creativity in choreography.

INMANTEC SINGING CONTEST

(ISCU20)

Indians have been constantly involved in learning and appreciating music. To encourage the rhythm, confidence and sparkling young talent of the city, we are providing you a platform in INMANTEC. Come… Sing Along! The idea behind this contest is to give the students a platform, where they can showcase their talent with their voice.

The contest is divided in two phases. Prelim round-a selection round where the selection of the candidates will be done for final round. In the subsequent phase the selected contestants will be called to the campus on the date of event to perform and showcase their talent. To become eligible for award it is important that a contestant participates in both the phases.

ELIGIBILITY – The contest is open to any student from class 10th onwards till post graduation. Contestant should have a valid student identity card to be eligible for participation.

ALPANA

INMANTEC RANGOLI COMPETITION-2020

Rangoli is originated from the Sanskrit word ‘Rangavalli’. It is a combination of two words Rang can be referred as colors and Holi can be referred as celebration. So, Rangoli is an artistic festivity of colors. There are different names for Rangoli in different regions of India. It is an art form, originating in the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are created on the floor or the ground using materials such as colored rice, dry flour, colored sand or flower petals. This practice is showcased during occasions such as festivals, auspicious observances, marriage celebrations and other similar milestones and gatherings. Rangoli plays a very vital role in Indian tradition. The purpose of Rangoli is an adornment, to decorate, feel strength, generosity, and it is believed to bring good luck. Sometimes different shapes, colors define different rituals in Indian culture.

Design depictions may also vary as they reflect traditions, folklore, and practices that are unique to each area. Rangoli designs can be simple geometric shapes, deity impressions, or flower and petal shapes. The base material is usually dry or wet powdered rice or dry flour, to which sindoor (vermilion), haldi (turmeric) and other natural colors can be added. Chemical colors are a modern variation. Other materials include red brick powder, colored sand, colored clay and even flowers and petals, as in the case of flower rangolis.

As a part of Inter college fest, ULLAS, INMANTEC institution is organising ALPANA- a Rangoli competition on April 16, 2020 in the campus. Participants can draw a Rangoli in any of the below mentioned themes. It is a team competition; however, the size of team is limited to 4.

ELIGIBILITY – The contest is open to all students from class 10th onwards. Participants have to apply in the form of team. Maximum number of participants in a team is four (4).  Contestant should have a valid student identity card to be eligible for participation.

DATE OF CONTEST– April 16, 2020

PRIZE – Top 2 teams will be recognized by INMANTEC through cash awards

SPECIAL RULES Maximum four members can participate in a team. Participants will be responsible for arrangement of the material required to prepare Rangoli.The participants will be expected to deliver a short verbal presentation describing of their work which includes their creative process that brought them to their final work. Stencils and gadgets are not allowed in competition.

VENUE: First Floor, Near Audi 1

TIME DURATION – Two Hours (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

EVALUATIONCRITERIA– The teams will be evaluated on the basis of Theme relevance, creativity, clarity, overall appearance and color combination. The decision of Judges will be final and binding.

THEME- Rangoli can be made on any one of the themes.

  1. Floral Rangoli
  2. Saptrang Rangoli
  3. Dotted Rangoli
  4. Geometric Shapes Rangoli

All the materials required for making Rangoli have to be brought by Participants. An area of

4ft X4ft will be provided to each team.

INMANTEC CARD MAKING COMPETITION 2020

(ICMU20)

The custom of sending greeting cards can be traced back to the ancient Chinese, who exchanged messages of good will to celebrate the New year.

By the early 15th century, handmade paper greeting cards were being exchanged on Europe and by the 1850s, the greeting card had been transformed from a relatively expensive handmade and hand delivered gift to a  popular and affordable means of personal communication.

To continue this trend “INMANTEC INSTITUTION” organizes Sandesh (Card making competition) in “Ullas 2020”.

To provide platform for new creations of  the new generations.

ELIGIBILITY–Any student can be participate either in individual or in group ( maximum of 2) of ninth standard onwards.

DATE OF CONTEST – 16th April, 2020

PRIZE–Cash prize with certificate and medal to the Ist and IInd position Holder and 2 Consolation Prize (Medal with certificate)

SPECIAL RULES –

  1. The ivory sheet for the card will be provided by the host.
  2. Participants has to bring there colors and stationary with them, whereas any type of stencils are not allowed to use.
  3. Reporting time for the competition is 9:00am
  4. Competition will start at 10:30am
  5. Participants must carry their I-Card with them

TIME DURATION – Time duration will be two hours

EVALUATIONCRITERIA -Judgment will be primarily based on the “Theme, Creativity, Neatness, Originality and Artistic” work done by the participants.

The cards are judged on a scale from 1 –10 point range is as follows:

  • 1-3| Below Standard
  • 4-6| Meet standard
  • 7-8| Exceeds standard
  • 9-10| Extraordinary

CHAYACHITRA

INMANTEC PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION 2020

(IPCU20)

 

Photographs are not meant to be explained, they should rather evoke emotions good enough to tell their story that the viewer could instantly perceive. Photography is one of the powerful mediums of communicating your idea to the world based on perception and interpretation of thoughts. As the name suggests, Chayachitra, a picture, just picks an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still. The idea behind is to give the students a platform, where they can showcase their talent of using lights and capturing lives.

Lights! Camera!! Click!!! And behold, you have a masterpiece already. It is that easy to click a good photograph for someone who has mastered the art. For others it’s just another snapshot that one may bring numerous likes on the social media based on their fan-base but will never be able to create a sensation – the Wow factor.

Our effort at INMANTEC is to not only make you learn the art but also recognize the hidden talent and bring it to the fore by way of holding contests and giving away awards. For this purpose a pre-contest workshop will be held for the registered participants.

 

ELIGIBILITY – The contest is open to all the students from grade-10 onwards. Each contestant must have a valid student identity card to be eligible for participation.

 

WORKSHOP- To bring all the participants at par, a photography workshop will be organized where the registered participants will learn the basic rules and methods of clicking a good photograph. The workshop will help the participants learn the intricacies of camera skills and general editing techniques that should differentiate a good photo from an average one. The workshop will also make the participants aware of the criteria to be used in judgment of the photos. The workshop will be a great learning experience for a person who is new to photography as well as for an experienced photographer who wants to refresh and enhance their knowledge.

 

DATE OF CONTEST – The date of contest is 16th / 17th April 2020.  The entries for the contest can be submitted till 10th April, 2020, 17:00 hours.

 

DATE OF WORKSHOP – The date of workshop is Sunday, 12th April 2020.

 

PRIZE – The top 2 entries will be recognized by INMANTEC through cash awards. Selected photos along with the photographer will be promoted at INMANTEC website, Facebook official page of INMANTEC, Newsletter, promotional material and everywhere else.

 

EVALUATIONCRITERIA – The decision of the judges will be final and binding and cannot be challenged. Four basic criteria will be used in evaluation of best photos, viz. Relevance to theme, Effort in capturing the image, Overall aesthetics and Technicalities, in no specific equitable ratio.

 

THEME – The theme for the contest will be given on the spot. The contestants need to capture moments related to theme inside the college campus and within the given time frame.

 

NUMBER OF ENTRIES – Contestants can submit a maximum of three entries. Only entries clicked by the contestant themselves are eligible for the contest. Evidence of ownership, place of clicking of the image, EXIF details, RAW file could be asked for in a logically doubtful situation. Any manipulation with the image data would make the entry invalid.

 

The entries have to be submitted to Prof. Pankaj Dutta through eMail at ude.cetnamninull@attud.jaknap.

 

To help us identify your entries, please change your image file name to IPCU20-first_name-entry_number. For example, if your name is Meera and you are submitting 3 entries, your image file names should read as: IPCU20-Meera-1, IPCU20-Meera-2 and IPCU20-Meera-3.

 

CAMERA – To make the competition even for everyone, only mobile camera is allowed. The contestants should come with their own mobile and other gear as necessary.

 

DECLARATION – The contestants need to submit a declaration stating that the images clicked represent the contestant’s original work and the contestant is the rightful owner of the same as of date without any external help and that INMANTEC Institutions will have the freedom to use them in future promotions or any which way they should.

INMANTEC FASHION SHOW COMPETITION 2020 (IFSU20)

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.

In a typical fashion show, models walk the catwalk dressed in the clothing created by the designer. Clothing is illuminated on the runway using various forms of lighting and special effects. The order, in which each model walks out wearing a specific outfit, is usually planned in accordance to the statement that the designer wants to make about their collection. It is then up to the audience to not only try to understand what the designer is trying to say, but to also visually deconstruct each outfit and try to appreciate the detail and craftsmanship of every single piece.

However, at Paridhan, our focus will be on the young ones who are fashion enthusiasts and confident about themselves. We wish to provide them with a platform and resources to showcase their talents

ELIGIBILITY – The contest is open to any student from class 10th onwards till post-graduation. Contestant should have a valid student identity card to be eligible for participation.

 

DATE OF CONTEST Preliminary Round: 17th April 2020 .The registration for the first phase of the contest is open till April 17th, 2020, 10:30AM (Indian time). Registration post this date won’t be valid.

PRIZE – Best Model, Best Costume, Best walk, Best Team will be recognized by INMANTEC through cash awards.

SPECIAL RULES –

1.) Participants must carry their tracks in PD (2 copies) on which they want to walk and should submit on the registration desk.

2.) The props and dresses should be preapproved with Event Coordinator before performance.

3.) No electrical power connections will be provided. If your costume requires power it must be part of your costume design.

TEAM SIZE- (for group performance) – Maximum of 12-14 participants

TIME DURATION – Minimum Time- 5 min

Maximum Time- 9 min.

 

EVALUATION CRITERIA – The decision of the judges will be final and binding and cannot be challenged. Four basic criteria will be used viz. (1) walking stance (2) Expressions (3) Attitude (4) Theme (5) Costumes .

 

THEME – Theme of the event are “Ethnic, Corporate and Creative”.
