Why
this Program?
The PGDM program, leading to the award of Post Graduate Diploma in
Management by the institute has been carefully designed to balance
the theoretical knowledge with the practical skills, providing to
the managers with problem-solving frameworks applicable to their
work and beneficial to the development of their professional
aptitude. The best thing about it is that the student gets benefited
with a well-researched, best-attended, and regularly updated
curriculum of the program.
This
program deliberately emphasized the international aspects of modern
business. This reflects the globalization of world
trade and the increasing requirement for managers to operate
within multi-cultural environments. The program attracts large
number of will-qualified applicants from throughout the
country, and the subsequent mix of culture and experience is of
benefit to
participants. Completion of the seats available on the programs is
considerable and the institute selects the best candidates
with reference to their prior academic performance,
qualification, work experience and overall motivation.
The
two-year PGDM program comprises of 4 semesters, two in each academic
year. Each semester is of 22 to 24 weeks duration. Advanced elective
papers are offered in final year of the program in the areas of
Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, International Business, and
Information Technology. The students are expected to take five
elective courses in each area of dual concentration in the second
year. The students are encouraged to choose specializations keeping
in mind their long term interests and their abilities. Individual
counseling is available at the Institute for choosing suitable
electives.
Eligibility:
Graduates in any discipline
with at least 50% marks are eligible for seeking admission in the
above program. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also
apply. Admissions shall be through one of the five (5) All India
Entrance Tests, namely – CAT (conducted by IIMs), MAT (conducted by
AIMA).
